These products comply with model TPA, URAC and extraterritorial benefit regulations. Insured point-of-service and PPO products, offered by an insurer with an “B+” rating from A.M. Best (and licensed in 49 states), let you control the underwriting of the product, as a reinsurance captive approach is used.

Managed Care Stop Loss
Through Summit Re’s managed care stop-loss facility, you can access stop-loss products for self-insured employers for which your HMO serves as the TPA (or hires it) and employees access your provider network. The employer stop-loss policies are issued by Companion Life Insurance Company, rated A+ by A.M. Best. We use our HMO excess underwriting expertise to set network-specific excess rates and aggregate factors so that the self-funded quote matches what your HMO would offer if you underwrote the product.
