One of the benefits of the Summit Re/Swiss Re relationship is the endorsement of Swiss Re by the The Health Plan Alliance (an association of large provider owned health plans). The Health Plan Alliance, www.healthplanalliance.org  examined a number of reinsurers and deemed Swiss Re one of its choices for HMO Reinsurance. The review criteria used by The Health Plan Alliance included areas such as experience, administration, managed care programs and coverage design options.
