Summit Re and GE Insurance Solutions Announce the Appointment of Deborah Stubbs to Managed Care Specialist

Summit Reinsurance Services Inc. and GE Insurance Solutions GE today announced the appointment of Deborah Stubbs to Managed Care Specialist.

Stubbs joins Summit Re from Kaiser Permanente of the mid-Atlantic states where she served as manager for training and education for the utilization management department. Prior to that position she was a senior manager, responsible for utilization review and case management services for the Washington, D.C./suburban Maryland service area (225,000 members). She was also the director of ambulatory care management at the University of Maryland Medical Systems and was a critical care clinical specialist at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

As Managed Care Specialist with Summit Re, Stubbs will be responsible for providing consultative case management services to our clients, assisting our underwriters in the evaluation and assessment of potential catastrophic claims, and leading the managed care vendor selection process. She'll also help our regional vice presidents with their sales efforts by meeting with clients and prospects to promote our value-added services.

Stubbs is a registered nurse and a certified case manager. She received a bachelor of science in animal science from the University of Illinois, an associate degree in nursing from Joliet Junior College, a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in trauma/critical care nursing, both of which she earned at the University of Maryland.
