Ft. Wayne, Indiana, June 18, 2010 Summit Reinsurance Announces Key Staff Additions
Summit Reinsurance Services Inc. (Summit Re), a reinsurer of HMOs and insurance companies
and a managing general underwriter of stop loss coverage for employer health plans, is
pleased to announce several new employees:

Jeana Kidd has joined Summit Re as a managed care coordinator. Kidd has more than 20
years of experience in the health care and insurance industries. Her primary focus will
be on administering Summit Re's comprehensive managed care program for self-funded clients.
She also will conduct reviews of large claim notices and support underwriting staff in the

Shane Kemerly has joined Summit Re as a regional vice president. With more than 15
years of employer stop loss sales experience, Kemerly will be responsible for a
selected territory of employer stop loss sales, primarily in the eastern and southeastern
United States. His responsibilities include offering and servicing the value proposition
that Summit Re provides its clients. Kemerly is based in Lapel, Ind. He can be contacted

Charleen Dugas has joined Summit Re as a senior underwriter. Based in Indianapolis, she
is responsible for assigned employer stop loss accounts. Dugas has 14 years of underwriting

Scott Terhaar has joined Summit Re as a senior underwriter. Terhaar will assist Brian Shively
and Greg Demars in Summit Re's HMO-carrier-provider excess underwriting unit. He will be based
in Minneapolis. Terhaar holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota
and brings 15 years of experience to Summit Re. He can be contacted at
